“When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high and don’t be afraid of the dark.” Rodgers and Hammerstein
Hey you! Look in the mirror. Yes – YOU! Look at that strong beautiful person staring back at you. That is someone that has weathered storms and has come out on the other side even stronger than before!
Now, do you believe it?!
Do you see it?!
Life is not meant to be super easy. If it was, do you think we would grow? Do you think you would be the person you are now if you didn’t have the storms you have experienced in your life?
Here I am, almost 40 (gulp), and in my young life, I have been through some storms. Now, who am I to say my storms are any worse than yours? Trust me – compared to some, I have really been blessed, but my storms have shaped me into the person I am today just like your storms are shaping you. The big thunderstorms of lost friendships, the tiny rain clouds of physical pain from slamming a door on your finger, or the tropical storms of loved ones that have passed away, all of these storms have shaped me into the person I am.
🌈 Here’s where it gets great! What is significant about the rainbow? It always shows up at the end of a storm. After 40 days and 40 nights of a terrible storm, God sent us a rainbow. Isn’t that awesome! So don’t you think, that even with the worst of storms, that you may be facing right now, that God put you through it because a) He knew you were strong enough to weather it and b) His promise that you would make it through would show up when it is over? I believe so!
Something was leading me to write this blog. Through my storms, I have found that writing has been very therapeutic. Not only do I get to get all of the thoughts out of my head but somewhere out there in this great BIG world, someone needs to hear what I am saying because it could be helping them during their storm.
So again I tell you – YES I am still looking at that strong person in the mirror – you’ve got this! Keep looking for your rainbow. 🌈 This storm is almost over.
Much love! The Traveling Fairy Godmother
